Thank you – Alessandro Guarnone

Alessandro Guarnone’s two-year experience with Valletta Football Club has come to an end as the club will sign Maltese international goalkeeper Jake Galea. During May discussions were held between the club and Guarnone on the possibility of a contract renewal , but the Italian goalkeeper was also looking at the opportunity to play at a higher level in Europe.

Alessandro Guarnone joined Valletta Football Club in June 2021. A product of the AC Milan youth sector Guarnone joined Valletta FC following a very impressive season at Birkirkara FC where he helped the Stripes to finish fourth in the Premier League and qualify to the UEFA Europa Conference League.

During the last season, Guarnone wore the Citizens’ shirt 18 times, he kept three clean sheets and conceded 15 goals, he also suffered an injury midway through the season.
