Mattias Ellul is seen as one of the most promising defenders in Maltese football. He came through the youth ranks of Luxol St Andrews and in 2023 joined Santa Lucia. Last summer, Ellul joined Ħamrun Spartans where he was instrumental in their European adventure, collecting 11 appearances and providing one assist.
