Marcus Simmons and Donys Qunitero join Valletta FC

Valletta Football Club acquired an experienced striker from the Canadian Premier Championship, Kapri Marcus Douglas Simmons.

Marcus is expected to arrive in Malta in the coming days.

The 23-year-old player was born in Canada but has Guyanese citizenship, and last May he even attracted the attention of national coach Jamaal Shabazz, who invited him to a training camp.

In 2022 Simmons signed a professional contract and debuted with the main squad of FC Edmonton, while last January he was transferred to Vancouver Whitecaps FC where he managed to play five times in the Canadian Premier League .

Donys Quntero Maldonado

Venezuelan winger Donys Quintero Maldonado have also joined Valletta Football Club. 28-year-old Quintero was already on trial with the club.

Quintero was one of the main players of Fgura United F.C. in recent seasons, after joining the club in January 2020 and continuing to be confirmed for consecutive seasons.
