Former Valletta FC coach Lolly Debattista passes away
Former Valletta FC coach Lolly Debattista passed away at the age of 91.
Debattista formed part of the legendary Floriana side that dominated Maltese football in 1950s and 1960s.
Apart from a successsful playing career, Debattista enjoyed a huge success also as a coach.
Lolly Debattista led Valletta Football Club to a league and cup double during season 1977-78.
During his coaching career, Debattista also led Hamrun Spartans, Żabbar St Patrick FC and Senglea Athletic.
